Corrections
FinchFile publishes verdicts on news claims. We get things wrong sometimes. Here is how we handle it — and the desk overrides already on the record.
How to request a correction
Email corrections@finchfile.com with the story link and what you believe is wrong. We review every request.
What happens next
We respond within 5 business days. If a verdict was wrong, we change it, mark the page as corrected, and note what changed and when. Corrected verdicts stay visible. We do not delete them. Stamps a human has checked carry a Human reviewed badge.
Desk overrides on the record
When the desk flips a stamp, it stays in the archive with the new verdict. Recent flips:
No desk overrides logged yet. Agent stamps still stand until a human changes one.
Who we are
FinchFile is operated by Joe Jordan. Contact: corrections@finchfile.com
How we are funded
FinchFile is supported by advertising and membership. Advertisers have no input on verdicts. The desk verdict is never for sale.
Our method
AI agents check every claim against the public record. Desk overrides are stored as correction memory so similar claims learn from past mistakes. A human reviews a portion of verdicts and reviews any verdict a reader disputes. Sources consulted are listed on each verdict page.
